100% NATURE 0% LATEX

For decades, we have chosen to protect our customers' sleep and health, by carefully curating our selection and limiting ourselves to offering only entirely natural products, ensuring that latex, foams, or polyurethanes never stand between your bed and your nighttime well-being.
This is a choice that is quite niche, yet highly appreciated by those who understand the problems arising from spending about 8 hours each night in contact with rubbery materials that, however pleasant they may be when newly purchased, become intolerably hot and dense over time due to their non-breathable nature.
Sleeping on natural materials such as wool, cotton, cashmere, silk, linen, and horsehair is like dozing off in a meadow where humidity constantly evaporates. Natural materials are fresh and warm when needed, hypoallergenic, possess thermoregulatory properties, and are permanently biodegradable. They guarantee a sleep protected from climatic micro-awakenings and a wakefulness filled with positive energy.

Bed breathing improves rest

Humans do not breathe only through their lungs, but also through their skin. Each of us has more than seven million pores that breathe and remove toxins from our body. To stay dry and comfortable, it is important to sleep on a bed that breathes and allows air to circulate throughout the body.

You have probably noticed how fresh and dry you feel on a warm summer day when wearing a cotton T-shirt or blouse rather than a garment made of synthetic materials. This is due to cotton's ability to ventilate and eliminate sweat and high humidity. Nighttime sweat is 98% water, so if you sleep on a breathable bed and use bedding with the same properties, it evaporates very easily.

Non-porous materials such as latex, foam, rubber, polyester, or other synthetic materials allow almost no ventilation. Non-porous material retains moisture, meaning that much of what the body expels through sweat remains in the bed. And in a warm and humid environment, bed mites multiply rapidly.

Wool and horsehair: the perfect climate for sleeping

Nature has created a small miracle capable of offering comfort, breathability and well-being during rest: wool. This high-performance natural material combines perfectly with cotton and horsehair, contributing to create an ideal environment for sleeping. Pure wool functions as a real climate control unit for the bed: it has always been appreciated for its extraordinary ability to warm when it's cold and cool when temperatures rise, keeping the body dry and at the right temperature in every season.

The wool fiber has a complex and naturally elastic structure, similar to that of small springs. Its structured surface is designed by nature to offer thermal protection and ensure continuous comfort. A completely different structure compared to smooth and compact synthetic fibers, which are incapable of offering the same ventilation and adaptation capabilities. Thanks to the particular configuration of its fibers, wool allows the circulation of a large volume of air, ensuring natural insulation, elasticity, resilience and softness. Furthermore, it can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water without transmitting the sensation of wetness. The small pores present in the fiber indeed allow moisture to pass through the material and evaporate easily, making wool perfect both during hot summer nights and in the coldest periods of the year. A natural material that really helps you sleep well all year round.

Next to wool we find another extraordinary natural element: horsehair. Used since ancient times for its exceptional breathable and conditioning properties, horsehair functions as a real ventilation system within the mattress. It allows the body to rest fresh and dry, avoiding that unpleasant sensation of humidity that often occurs with less breathable materials. Horsehair mattresses, considered since the beginning of the century among the most luxurious products also in Italy, required frequent maintenance interventions in the past. Today, however, horsehair undergoes much more sophisticated processing and treatments that guarantee sterility, durability and long-term resistance. A mattress made with selected horsehair and high-quality natural materials still represents one of the best choices possible for body well-being and sleep quality.
