Next to wool we find another extraordinary natural element: horsehair. Used since ancient times for its exceptional breathable and conditioning properties, horsehair functions as a real ventilation system within the mattress. It allows the body to rest fresh and dry, avoiding that unpleasant sensation of humidity that often occurs with less breathable materials. Horsehair mattresses, considered since the beginning of the century among the most luxurious products also in Italy, required frequent maintenance interventions in the past. Today, however, horsehair undergoes much more sophisticated processing and treatments that guarantee sterility, durability and long-term resistance.
